Have You Ever Had A Guest Ask You For Directions To A Place That There Standing Right In Front Of?
Re: Lost Guest
I was actually just talking with a co-worker about this today.jafaturnage wrote:Have You Ever Had A Guest Ask You For Directions To A Place That There Standing Right In Front Of?
"Is it okay to smoke here?" right next to a NO SMOKING sign
"Where's Main Street?" inside the Emporium
"Where's Tomorrowland?" inside Star Trader
"Do we pay for stuff here?" while I'm standing behind the cash register
"Is this where we get our photo for Splash Mountain?" at the Splash Mountain photo shop
"Do you sell medicine?" right next to the medicine wall
"Where are the restrooms?" right next to a RESTROOMS sign
"Where can we find Mickey Mouse ears?" while standing in front of a wall with about 6 different styles of Mickey Mouse ears
And my favorite: "I've been to Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland, where's Disneyland?"

I don't know if he was joking (probably not) but I remember this guy asked where the Star Wars ride was when he was queing for Star Tours.
"We're going home in a Combine Harvester!"

Re: Lost Guest
My Innoventions spiel at load while guests are waiting:
"All the exits of Innoventions are located upstairs on the second floor. There are no exits on the first floor, so you do need to head upstairs when you've had all the fun you can have at Innoventions. The stairs are located at the center of the building, so head up those stairs when it's time to leave. If you look for an exit on the first floor, you will be looking for a very, very long time and with no success, as we have no exits downstairs."
My Innoventions spiel as guests who already heard the first spiel are getting onto the platform:
"Once again, all the exits of Innoventions are upstairs."
Guest wandering the first floor and looking at all the firmly closed entrance doors:
"How do we get out?"

I LOVE THAT ONE!!!! Is that like the blonde joke, the blonde got in the car and decided she was going to Disneyland, when she got there she saw a sign that said 'Disneyland: Left' so she went home?SRT_GB wrote:And my favorite: "I've been to Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland, where's Disneyland?"
[No offense to any blonde members. :D: ]

Re: Lost Guest
I had originally read that guest question in David Koenig's book "Mouse Tales" during my first year at the park. I totally didn't believe it was true until I was actually asked that question a couple years later. I think I heard it twice during the time I was at the park.CerasiJ wrote:I LOVE THAT ONE!!!! Re: Lost Guest
I was a host working in Tomorrowland at Club Buzz in Disneyland. I had a couple w/ kids ask me where the Stitch's Great Escape was because they had been all over Tomorrowland looking for it. Then they promptly brought to my attention that the maps for the park were all wrong and cited examples. Space Mountain wasn't in the right place and Indy Speedway was called Autopia. I was a little confused myself. A Stitch Great Escape thing?? Never heard of such contraption. So I asked to see their map and to amazement this couple had been navigating Disneyland Park with a WDW Magic Kingdom Park map. For anyone that has been to both parks, you know you can't use the same maps. They tried to rationalize it by saying that the parks were identical just on the opposite side of the country. I gave them a new map of Disneyland, oriented them and sent them on their way, saddened that they couldn't get to do the Stitch whatever.

We did. :D: It's sad to notice that the wait time for SGE was only 5 minutes when the wait time for Buzz was about 40 minutes. What a waste of a show building. Bring AE back!tenprincess wrote:That is definatly a HYS moment. Stay far far away from Stitch's Great Escape.
