[quote="aussie mousefan"]Never hopefully... I need an excuse to travel, and the other thing is not a large enough population down here (plus there are now 2 Disney parks in the Asian region)

I agree, part of the Joy of a Disney Holiday is the 19 Hour plane trip

Plus part of the experiance is to watch Americans have family arguments in the queue. you just don't get that at the Tokyo parks :D:

I would love to know how you get there in 12 hours? If I want to break it up I do the SDY to Tokyo - tokyo to LAX and it is 10 hours to Tokyo and 10 from Tokyo to LAX.

SYD-LAX Direct is usually approx 12hrs depending on head winds

(out of over 20 return trips the quickest SYD-LAX flight was 11.45hrs, the longest, 14.5hrs)

If you factor in the time sitting in the plane 30mins prior to departure, and 10-20 minutes after landing the time is more like 13.5hrs.

For the return sector add 1 - 1.5hrs

Direct from SYD-LAX was 14 hours that I remember (we took Qantas) and I got bored. I never want to be on a plane that long again.

The flight time will vary, however I am basing my times on flight time only.

I also fully understand the getting bored part, having done this trip every year at least once or twice for the past 17 years.

Thankfully now they have the interactive entertainment system built into each seat.

Luckily game boys and batteries are a girl's best friend. Good luck on your flight. We look forward to seeing you out here.
