Question!

Post by CerasiJ » Sun Sep 25, 2005 1:52 pm

Okay, cast members. I have a silly tourist question for yas. (I hope this is allowed in this forum...) My mom was a former CM, and she had the Main Gate Pass (I have no idea if they still have these anymore or not) and she got the free CM tickets, the red and white ones that say "NOT FOR SALE" with her name on it.

Does anyone know if Disney still accepts the tickets? I have a couple of them, and when Mom worked there they told us they were good at any park and never expired.

Any ideas, anyone? :D: Thank you!!!! :)

I got some of from a friend a couple of months ago. They looked exactly like what you are talking about.
Some current CM's on here are going to have to tell you those tickets ever expire though.

Guest: What time does the park close?
Me: 5 minutes ago.
Guest: Are there any rides still open?
Me: No, the park's closed.
Guest: So, there's no rides still open?

I'm so glad I'm just seasonal!!!

All of the comp tickets I've ever gotten had expiration dates, usually 3 years or so after they were issued. Unfortunately I don't have any with me to look at.

if there's no expiration date on them they do not expire (this applies to all tickets)

There's no expiration date, so I guess they are still good. :) Thanks everyone!

Depending upon what year you got those tickets, they're probably worth more as collector's items than they are as park admission.

No, comp tickets are fully transferrable. This is the main difference between them and the Main Gate pass -- a CM has to be around to use the main gate pass, but not the comp tickets.

Major point Pirate John, especially since D L is celebrating it's 50th. Post those comps on e bay CerasiJ. You look best with a fat wallet ]

Don't know that I'd ever part with them, but my wife and I only used 3 days of our 4-day WDW passes on our honeymoon in 1990. (These are from back when the date was stamped in a white space for each day used.)

We've never used or traded in the extra day. I understand that if we were to use them, they wouldn't get us into AK, since it wasn't around when the tickets were purchased, but we'd be able to get into any of the other three parks. They are in fairly good condition still -- wonder what they'd be worth to collectors?
