TINKERBELL!!! the ULTIMATE sgt
Hey guys!!
This one is HOT OFF THE PRESS for you, taking place no more than 2 hours ago.
I was hanging out in the Town Square Breakroom when a GR cast member asked if we had Tinkerbell out tonight. Our host replied that a Tinkerbell walk-around character didn't exist, and we all ran out to town square to see a lady dressed as tinkerbell signing autographsa and posing for pictures. our host and security escorted the woman out of the park.
I thought I had seen quite a few weird guests, but goodness gracious. Did anybody else see her? I could see if she LOOKED like tinkerbell, kinda, but man oh man.

LOL, this is so funny :D: Would have paid full admission to see her posing then being escorted out. This certainly ranks in the top 5 SGTs @ DLR. Simply amazing how some minds work. :waves: GREAT POST!

i'm sorry, i'm sorry... i didn't know that dressing up as tinkerbell wasn't allowed.
yeah. just kidding. it wasn't me... sounds like something i'd do, though.

I did see an older guest in a tink costume out before the fireworks that never happened yesterday.
Someone probably can confirm this but I was under the impression that costumes were not allowed in the park for the very reason mentioned in the SGT mistakin character identity. Little kids are excluded from this for they can't be mistaken (actually I call little kids by their costume name but that's to make their day)

Question for you DLR folk :) Do you host Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on selected nights during October - and if so, what is DLR's policy of adult guests dressing up as Disney characters on Halloween or for this Halloween-related special event? Just curious - as at WDW's Magic Kingdom park, guests are allowed to come dressed up during Mickey's Not So Scary (though I do remember some sort of miscommunication about it last Fall, and some guests were told they couldn't, but just the kidlets could...if memory serves)
Just curious...

Re: TINKERBELL!!! the ULTIMATE sgt
When I used to come to the Studios in my gear (Indiana Jones outfit, head to toe...how do you think I picked up the nick name "Indy" from people at work), I had plenty of people coming up to me asking for an autograph and photos (Ive always looked two years older than my age). I never had a line form or anything. Then again, I always stated that I simply a fan of Indy, and this is how my friends who worked at Disney know that I'm coming.
But they never said anything to me when I'd be at the Studios with the gear on, or for that matter anywhere at the parks.
Note: I don't do it anymore. Except for the Holloween Party at MK, but it's possible that I'll do it since a few people who know me from back then want to see the gear worn one more time.

A good photograph means knowing where to stand

I wonder if "Tink" was one of the Prairie Girls, all grown up... and I wonder if the little brother is still wandering around in his authentic homemade Big Thunder outfit *rolls eyes*. That was a scary family.

Oh yes, those fireworks which never happened! Was in DCA & still took guest abuse because there were no pyros to entertain beloved souls  . Will never understand why I'm @ one park & blamed for issues @ anotherStduck wrote:I did see an older guest in a tink costume out before the fireworks that never happened yesterday.

Forget it! :duh: Guests want their fireworks. Safety & weather be damned

When I hired in we were told no adult could be in costume. This was a very strict D L policy. We are to call security if a guest is dressed as a Disney character. Am sure this rule still is in existence.

I just was flat out honest and told them about the weather and that "The Fire Marshall said No" then they left me alone. I was out there for BOTH cancelled shows.Main Streeter wrote:
