My friend who is a major in physics says actually if you want be accurate physics-wise...the force is actually called centripedal force and dumbo is actually pushing you around the circle making you feel as if you're being pushed out but ur really not, you just want to keep going straight but dumbo's forcing you to curve

This is true -- glad I'm not the only one that gets bugged by this. Although... not that spelling usually matters in a forum like this, but since we're being picky anyway, it's spelled "centripetal."

Now everyone here can rightfully claim to his/her spouse/roommate/significant other that time spent at SGT is educational! :)

Ok, so, I was on the old Pinocchio trams. I had only been in RT&P for about 5-6 months and I was in the RT position (back of the tram) when I had a foreign guest ask me.... and I'm dead serious about this one. He asked “Will this tram take me to Frontierland?” I told the guest no. I then explained in clear-cut details. Get this; I explained it 3 times. I then had to leave. I later found out that he came back and asked another CM the same question 2 hrs later.

God I love our guests! LOL

I know I'm new here, but I just had to add this one to the list....

Several years ago, standing at the edge of Rivers of America doing a site survey, we had a great idea while watching people during early entry (it used to be Adventureland up to/including Pirates).

A couple of days later, several WDI personnel came in standing at the edge of the river with large Futaba remote controls for cars during Early Entry. We stood, pointed, played with the remotes, etc. Finally, the park opened, the rope dropped and several people came over to see what we were doing.

Guest: What are you guys working on? Some new E-Ticket plans?
Us: Nope, just reprogramming the ducks.
Guest: [Slight pause] Really? They look so real. How often do you have to reprogram them?
Us: Every winter so they don't fly south.
Guest: That's really cool.

We did this several times before we were finally asked to stop by our manager.

That is absolutely wonderful. :)

Guest: [holding up a pair of adult size gold Mickey ears] Do you sell the bands for the Mickey ears here?
Me: No, the bands only come with the infant sized ones, and we don't carry them here, they carry them in the park.
Guest: So they sell the bands for these in the park?
Me: No, like I just said, the bands only come on the infant size hats, and we don't carry those here.
Guest: So you don't carry the bands here?
Me: No, the bands only come on the infant size hats, they don't come on the adult or child sizes.
Guest: Then who sells the bands?
Me: Nobody sells the bands, the bands only come on the infant hats which we don't carry here.
Guest: Does the Disney Store carry them? [of course referring to WOD]
Me: I'm not even sure if they carry the infant size hats because we're right below them at the bottom of the priority list for getting new shipments of those hats. But the Mad Hatter and other hat locations in the park should have them.
Guest: So they have the bands in the park.
Me: No, the bands are not sold separately. They only come on the infant size hats.
Guest: [to children in her party] Come on, they sell the bands over in Disneyland.

[Trouble...]

Guest - Where's the Betty Boop restauant?
Me - I'm sorry we don't have one, Betty Boop is not a Disney Character.
Guest - Yes you do, I walked past it last night.
Me - No we don't, as I said Betty Boop is not a Disney Character.
Guest (getting angry) - I know you do. Stop playing with me.
Me - Ma'am were you in Disneyland last night?
Guest (stops to think for a minute) - Oh no, we were at Universal Studios. So you really don't have a Betty Boop restaurant?
I walk away to bang my head against a wall......
