If you ever worked Small World and it's nighttime with fireworks and winds suddenly start, then you know it's PHASE TWO!!!!! When I used toi work at Small World, dreaded those nights, especially during the holidays back when we used to run Fast Pass and we would have a helluva lot of guests moaning and crying becuase we had to close off our section of the Park. I hated when I had to lecture to the guests that we had to shut down temporarily due to possible fallout becuase they simply couldn't understand the meaning of being safe during pyro launch.
We are only doing this for your won safety, people!!!!!!!
Anyone else have any fun stories related to Phase Two?
I even hated when people kept asking for the snow and the sickening, "oohs' and "ahhs" during the finale, too!

At PGA, the fireworks were launched from next to a storage pond for Rip Roaring Rapids. Policy said that 3R and the other rides near the pond were to be shut down for the fireworks and then could reopen after. We had a park buy-out one night that insisted that the park keep those rides open during the show. I can remember sitting in one of the watch towers, with debris hitting the steel roof and stuff landing in the trough.
Now I work for that fireworks company and often wind up watching for non-breaks during the show while debris lands around me.
Anyway, my point is I understand & you have my sympathy!
I hope the 4th isn't too bad for you.
