Hahaha...I lived for Mansion! This means I am officially insane or hell has frozen over...oh well, I was there for the 30th, the 35th and the 40th - may as well be there for the 50th...
Although, now that I think of it, I swore I would never work Book again after I dropped status so I wouldn't have to go back to Fantasyland for months on end, and I ended up doing a shift change to work the stupid ride so one of my friends could go to another CM's wedding...that was the first time I said hell had frozen over...

Saw Plaid yesterday in DCA & was trying to figure out who she was escorting. Plaid called guest John as they walked by. Meant nothing until he came over & began a conversation. Guest was John Stamos :D:  Not sure why he spoke with me but I was THRILLED! We shook hands then he asked abt our merchandise, how long I'd been @ Disney (was wearing old white name tag), which attraction I thought was the most fun & a few other pleasantries. Really a very down to earth nice guy in jeans & a baseball cap.
Before he left he gave me the warmest hug, friendliest smile, & was so kind. If I never see another celeb @ DLR s'ok cuz John Stamos rocks
Absolutely made my day magical :love2:

Within the last say month, here's who we have had at the Coaster (That I'm aware of)
Fuzz or Fez (Or However the hell you say it, from That 70s Show...apparently saying it wrong offends EVERY SINGLE FEMALE Between the ages of 18-27 if you say it wrong, which I did)
During the Press Event (That I can Remember):
Alan Cummings (Nightcrawler in X-Men)
Robbie Kenivel
Mikey (From American Chopper)
One of the guys from Extreme MakeOver Home Edition
Gabriel Union (Bad Boys 2)
Jenny Macarthy
Peter Mayhew (Gotta love the guy)
George Lucas (He was in the harness, all I had to do was push down with a bit of force, no pun, and he'd be dead...)

I've really only seen three celebrities so far...
I was working Treasures one day that is was pouring down rain, and this guy with quite the entourage walked in. I'd only looked up for a moment as I was helping another guest, but it was Nic Cage, and my jaw kinda dropped. The CM helping him, didn't even know who it was until after he'd been handed the payment.
The other one happened when I was closing Engine-Ears Toys the night before the big media circus for the 50th kickoff. They were having some pre-celebration thing in DCA, and Jesse McCartney was on the back of the woody that carries around the DCA surf band. He came complete with screaming fan girls and the poor CM's slated for crowd control.
The last one happened in Tower. I wasn't really ringing anyone up as it was kinda dead in merch...people were coming off the attraction and flying through the shop. I was stopped by one of my CM's and they pointed out a dark haired person over at the Image counter, saying it was one of the Backstreet Boys. Of course, I was oblivious as it had been ages since I even knew their names.
Anyway, all this within the seven months I've been there, so we'll see. Though, apparently, one night I had just walked for the end of my shift, and Greetings had finished clearing when Johnny Depp walked through. I found out the night after and cursed, if only I had waited ten more minutes...

Would love to see Jesse McCartney!! Johnny Depp didn't actually walk through Greetings (I was stock this night) He passed Greetings on his way out of DCA. There were many Greetings' CMs with their faces pressed against all windows & doors with hopes :) You didn't miss anything Lost. ]

Tyson Tomco was here at Coaster again today (With his wife and kid again). He's from the WWE for you non wrestling fans.
He got off the ride tonight and said "Hey man" (Getting my attention) and he was basically right behind me, so naturally, seeing this guy right behind me made me jump a little, but then I saw the goatee and knew instantly who he was.
He asked if he could go on like they did last time and I basically said "You guys know how it works, have fun." I waited for a moment since we had another limo pulling in and then took them to the back door. Being that I'm a fan of him I asked him "Hey, when are you guys coming back down here?" (Meaning the WWE shows). He said that they really don't come down here much but the crews are getting ready to change so anything could happen. He asked if I wanted tickets but being that I didn't know if he was joking or not I declined. But hey, I got to finally talk to him this time around for a second.
We're expecting to see Warwick Davis sometime this weekend since he's here for Star Wars Weekends.

You worked stock over in DCA? With your user name, I had you pegged as a DL CM.

I was DL CM & have loved working Main Street since 2000. Went over to DCA to try it. Like the managers & CMs @ DCA stores/stock more than I anticipated :) Cross over to DL whenever needed or I can pick up a shift there. Will do almost anything to work Main Street. :D: Worked Emporium May 5th - 7th & was absolutley thrilled to be at DL for the 50th!! User name still applies ]
