some secrets you would share
some secrets you would share
I will be starting this summer and I was wondering what some of the secrets you can share about some of the rides. Such as how they make things happen or special effects, etc....

So you want to outright ruin the magic in public? come on... I'm sure you could figure it out yourself.crow11ad wrote:I will be starting this summer and I was wondering what some of the secrets you can share about some of the rides. Such as how they make things happen or special effects, etc....

flat visions of misty places,
fragments bound below my surface,
but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
and they are real."

My suggestion.... Make friends with the 3rd shift mechanics. NOTHING better with them taking you on tours of attractions you never dreamed of touring after hours.

One of the seven guest service guidelines... Preserve the Magic :)crow11ad wrote:I will be starting this summer and I was wondering what some of the secrets you can share about some of the rides. Such as how they make things happen or special effects, etc....
My lips are sealed.
"Why is that robot (Starnac) being worked on?"
"Hes not being worked on, he was up all nite partying and is really tired so our engineers are putting some special blend of coffee in him so he will be wide awake. Please come back in about 15 minutes."
"Why is his (again, Starnac) hand shaking?"
"Too much coffee this morning!" (calls engineering services when guest leaves)
~Innoventions- its many things, but theres one thing its not, its Na-Ta-Ride!~

I used to work Gadget's Go Coaster. The lap bar locking device was controlled from the front panel. We'd unlock them when the coaster came into the station and relock them when everyone was seated.Main Streeter wrote:Wait a sec. So, if they weren't locked, the guests would sit in the car, pull down on the lap bar, and it would spring back up.
One time, a couple of ten-year-old kids got into the front car and the lap bar wasn't locked. So I leaned over and asked what was wrong. They told me the lap bar wasn't working. "Ah," I said, "it must be out of magic pixie dust."
So I made a motion of pulling something out of my pocket and throwing it toward the car, while with my other hand I pressed the locking button. The looks on their faces as they heard and felt the *click* was priceless.

Well... I can tell you there's a hidden mickey in the Tower of Terror. When you've gone through the pre show and you're staring at the starry wall the stars begin to telescope down to one circle in the middle right before the wall splits and the elevator drops.
If you look at that circle it is actually a hidden mickey!
Other than that, my only bit of advice is:
Be careful on the Rock'n Rollercoaster. That takeoff is a doozie and no one warned me.... it LITERALLY sucked one of my contacts right out of my eye!!

"How much are the mugs? Well the 13 large signs at eye level all say the mugs are $12.99.. so I'm gonna go with that."
