Actually, yes.
I was Outdoor Vending last summer. Worked sucked but the people were cool.
And next month I'll be a Ticket Taker. Sounds better to me than ODV! :D:

Well, it would depend on wether or not Disney was willing to bend the rules for my return. 1.) Hired full time with a 5 dollar raise on top of the pay rate I topped out with. 2.) Re-instated to all of the shows I was trained for without having to re-audition and go through the long rehearsals and my seniority status accounted for. 3.) Full benefits without waiting for a probation/grace period. 4.) Completely cover the cost for travel expenses back to Orlando. 5.) Free lodging at the Wilderness Lodge Villas for the length of time it takes to buy/build a new house in a decent suburb off 535. 6.) A brand new car. -preferably a 2005 Ford Explorer, color; forrest green.
That's not asking too much, is it?

I would like to come back now that I have finished college (was a cp at mk) but does anyone know if its possible to be hired before returning to Orlando.(It would really suck to drive 1400 miles for a job you dont have and may not get)

Call TDA, ask for an appt. & view your CM file. It's your file & the company must let you see it. This will help you understand the no hire issue. Might even open a few doors you've not thought abt.iusedtobeacm wrote:I've tried to go back three times now and they won't re-hire me, i don't know why i would still love to work there but i have given up any hope so i'm done trying.

:?:
...
I have been asked this a LOT by my husband, friends, family members etc since I jumped ship in Feb and my response was and will always be
"Only if I have lost everything and am living out of my car and eating cat food will I ever consider even thinking about reapplying at disney!"
Pay's too low.... workers not respected....
There are just so many other places to be that if nothing else pay better and do not think of new and exciting ways to demean their workers on a daily basis.
Just my opinion

Never,
I'm happy that I'm leaving on my own terms, but I will only go back if I'm absolutly desparate. I've only been there for 5 years, but I've noticed a change in attitudes from the managment. I don't understand it my last week had attendance numbers under 10,000 in all parks, yet everybody is on mandatory overtime. I'm glad that I left when I did.

If I won a lot of money and didn't have to work for a living but needed something to do, I would consider it.
