Knott's Management

Post by iusedtobeacm » Thu Mar 10, 2005 11:25 pm

Now i know this is going to seem like a bashing and in some ways it is so i won't be surprised if my post gets edited or locked, but here goes any way. I know there are a bit of people here that work or worked at Knott's and i am one of the latter, i still talk to a few people that work there and i have to say that i am sooooo happy that i don't work there any more. the management there seems to be getting worse and worse than when i was there now mind you i quit just a few months ago. that company makes the dumbest choices when it comes to choosing their shift leaders and supervisors. there are some new shift leaders there that didn't even deserve the position, lazy workers that only get by because they are friends with other shift leaders and things like that now on the supervisor position there have been three new ones one is the big bosses son and the other two are his friends. i know if these people applied to work at disney they would not get hired and if they did they wouldn't make it, just because the Disney and Knotts work ethic are totally different. i rememeber last year during their famous Halloween Haunt, two of the employees that are now shift leaders would whine because they did not want to work during the Haunt. so they would shift trade and sneak into the haunt, i thought that if you were caught doing this you would automatically get termed but no not them i don't know if it's because they are female or what but they are still there, now they are shift leaders, wrong move on knott's part but thats just my two cents. most of their supervisors are incompetant i remember being told to do something that was unsafe on one of the rides by one of these supervisors that was not even certified on that particular ride, i did not do what he told me, i explained to him that per SOP it was unsafe to do what he asked and what happend, i got put on a step two for being unsubordinate. well i could go on and on about all the stupid employee tricks that go on at knotts, but i figure most of you already know and thats why most of the people that post here work at a Disney theme park.

I used to work with a girl named Lisa and she too was ordered to do things against SOP. She refused. Violating the SOP is how people get hurt or killed. Some of those Knottt's supervisors are just plain ignorant of the rides. William and Lisa were much better, despite their faults. At least they were ROs at one point and knew their stuff.

Well Lisa no longer works at Knotts she went on vacation and came back and quit, i guess she also saw that place going to hell, she was an awesome supervisor i loved working for her she was one of the only people that truly cared about the company and the employees.
