Do you know any busybody CM's?

This is the place to tell us about the stupid things fellow employees can do.

Ah, I had a different definition of busybody.

Before I left, there was this one girl that got on my nerves so bad I couldn't stand working near her. Despite having her own Guests to help, she would butt into my conversations with my Guests and interject her opinion. Now it's not that I don't want a fellow CM to interact with my Guests, it's just that we were at the register and I was wondering if she wanted to talk to EVERY SINGLE Guest that approached the counter. And whenever I'd have a conversation with another CM, she'd come in and give her opinion.

And one time I was at the register with another newbie while I was helping an off-duty police officer. We were chatting while I was ringing up his purchase and the girl next to me goes, "Uh-oh, it's the popo!" And we both looked at her like she was insane. The cop made a comment and she proceeded to make more idiotic comments about cops. She made a complete fool of herself. I was appalled that she straight-up called him a popo to his face and on-stage.

I miss WDW and DLP. When are we going back?

so here my deal, i was trained that useing a cell phone for anything onstage was bad show, except in an emergency. i was also trained to follow the service model, serV-alue the magic, ice, which would at least entail giveing the person a heads up, or simply stopping by with the lead and saying "hey, you might want to remind you're CMs this and that" and leave names out, but to imply that someone is wrong for attempting to correct a situation, however big or small is just as bad going and ratting someone out. wasn't in the best of moods when i posted that, mainly because i just had to write a statement that's probly going to be terminating one of our new hires at indy, and while i know i did what i had to do (it was more serious than a cell phone) i still feel guilt for it. bare with me, if i ever seem like i'm lashing out, or being over-zealous, it's probly b/c there is some sort of issue going on and a nerve is being struck. No offense intended.

I heard from a union steward awhile ago that management cannot force you to write a statement.... Just an FYI.

My dept doesn't really have any of what goose described...however some cms seem overly entitled to update the sorting trained lists we have at pretty much every location (even though everyone is trained + new hires as they train). It was last officially updated in July (with weekly updates prior). They'll cross out the names of cms that have left, and occasionally write in new hires names, but much more than a couple of times they have crossed off names of people who didn't actually leave, like those who go on Leave of Absesnces or drop to CT. Now thats stupid.

I've dealt with many CM's that have this uncontrollable urge to butt into my conversations with guests. It could be about anything. Directions, the parade, rides, characters, something non-Disney related. They butt in and answer questions I was being asked. Questions I have no difficulty answering. I really don't like being interrupted or being talked over. It's very rude. I notice that male CM's do this more than female CM's. I don't know what it is exactly, but it's not a character trait I like.

I was fired from the park for giving another employee a free ride on the R-360 Video game after he got off work. The woman that turned me in was the biggest busy body in tommorowland. Funny that this happened a week after she asked me out and I said no thanks...

Is this true of all CMs, or just those who have passed their Probie periods and are actually in their Union?

Are you a moderator? If yes, I retract what I'm about to say. If not, then don't attack the person, attack the post. If you do get personal, then take it to private messages. We don't want to hear mean posts about other CMs here. We wanna laugh at guests being stupid, not be mean to eachother.

"I have a stupid question for you."

"Can I have a map?"

"Where is the restroom?"

"Do you work here?"

Dunno if that's true but you can always write, "I don't recall." Heehee. :)
