Coming to WDW- And Bringing My Students
Hello all- long time lurker, occasional poster here. Just wanted to give all you WDW folks a heads up that I'll be heading to the World with a few people in tow. I teach a university course on Theme Park Entertainment Management (yep, really!), and I'll be bringing 11 students and 21 departmental do...

Re: Official SGT ADD thread
My first rock concert was in 1999, Barenaked Ladies. However, with a musician father, jazz, big band, and classical concerts were a regular activity. I think my favorite, and most memorable, was seeing a Peter Schikele/PDQ Bach concert in around 1990 or so. I ended up meeting Schikele at an event at...

Re: "Here stand there, I'll take the picture"
More than once when I worked FOH at Cats, we confiscated cameras during the show. We would run the film to a one hour place across the street, and remove the show photos before returning the camera and non show photos. Of course the Sg had to pay for the photofinishing. This is pretty much what I d...

Re: "Here stand there, I'll take the picture"
I'm a house manager at a theatre. We do not allow photography inside the theatre for 99% of our performances, the main reasons being to protect the intellectual property of our designers and performers, and to keep from distracting the performers. You better believe that if I see someone snapping pi...

Re: Epic Mickey Clock Tower boss battle
I'm loving this game right now. Just the right amount of difficulty, choices that vary the outcomes, and of course, Mickey. After I finish this time through, doing mostly Paint outcomes, I'm going to redo with mostly Thinner outcomes and have evil Mickey. :)

There's valet parking everywhere in LA. The trick is finding the places that actually park your car, and not just steal it. Red jackets are easy to come by you know.

Please, please tell her to rethink her plans. Hollywood is not a safe place to stay, and a Motel 6 is just asking for trouble. LA has terrible public transportation, and if she doesn't drive, she's going to have a really tough time as a tourist. Encourage her to just stay in Anaheim if the parks are...

I just couldn't resist. The Notre Dame Victory March: "Cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame, wake up the echoes cheering her name! Send a volley cheer on high, shake down the thunder from the skies! What though the odds be great or small, old Notre Dame will win over all"" ...56 translatio...

Re: DLR employee sent home for wearing muslim head covering
As a quick clarification, female Muslims are not required to wear a headscarf. It is a personal decision based upon interpretation of the Koran. From my understanding, this particular woman has been Muslim for quite some time, if not her whole life, but only made the choice to wear the hijab recentl...

Re: Stupid Bee Tricks
I have a major phobia about bees. Too bad for me, I didn't realize I had this phobia until walking through a British orchard, which of course had bees everywhere. Gah! I was completely freaked out the whole trip, and had to leave early. As soon as I see a bee, I have to shut my eyes tight and hope a...
