Re: Cast Member Thank You Gifts

Much as I appreciate your intent, Guest Relations hasn't had such forms for years -- they just pass out a card with the mailing address on it (WDW Guest Communications, PO Box 10,000, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830). Frankly, a letter mailed from home after your trip will have more impact in any event,...

Re: Cast Member Thank You Gifts

I haven't posted here for many a moon but we still go to WDW every year. When I run across a CM that's exceptional or helpful etc. I tell them I'm going to fill out a great review for them at Guest Relations and then I absolutely do it. I truly think this is the best thing you can do for them and it...

Re: Enlighten me.

I've become a lurker on any site, including here, b/c of some of the negative behavior I've encountered on other boards and just once, here (by a visiting jerk) but I do continue to read. I joined this board primarily to make sure I, or my children, never act like a SG but I realized there were some...

Re: GACs and Fastpass

There are only so many fastpasses given within an hour so getting a fastpass while you essentially already have one is a little out of line. The exception would be if you splitting up and doing things apart from each other. Just my opinion as a former CM... This is precisely why we only use the GAC...

GACs and Fastpass

I'm sorry to bring this subject up again but it's been brought to my attention on another board that people are still getting GACs that don't need them. With my autistic son we wouldn't have a Disney vacation w/o it and I can't help but worry that this problem is going to affect us in the future. We...

Re: The Worst of the Worst SG's

I haven't posted in a very long time but want to let you know how very sorry we are here and we'll keep you and all the cms in our thoughts; please take care of yourselves.

Re: GAC abuse

I started this thread and I appreciate all your answers. I would personally not have any problem identifying my son's needs or disability but I don't take fault with anyone who does. However, we are getting treatment that others w/o the GAC aren't getting. In our case that means we are entering thru...

GAC abuse

On another boards someone had mentioned that she'd heard two women talking and laughing about the fact that one of them was going to get a GAC to use at Disney. She also came to understand that they didn't actually need it. This enrages me and worries me to no end. I have two boys who are on the Aut...

Employment for disabled adults

A friend on a board for parents of autistic children has an adult high functioning autistic son and asked me to pass this along. She (and I'm interested in knowing also) wanted to know if Disney hires disabled adults with autism, Downs etc...I would imagine it would depend entirely on the severity o...

Re: A Good Old Soapbox Rant

I'm considering having my autistic son trade pins when we come back next year for the socialization more than anything else. If we only look for CMs with green lanyards that trade with children is he going to run into any of this foolishness with other guests? It would be defeating the purpose.
