Re: The Intermittant Parent

Ugh, DisneyQuest is the PI (Pleasure Island) kid dumping ground. Thankfully, its normally kids over 10 (the age they can be to be on their own), but still that's too young to be in the park alone. The parents enter with the kids and once inside, find the exit and expect their kids to meet them at a ...

Re: In 10 words or less, what does SIT DOWN mean to you?

What does sit down... let alone keep your feet in the restraints at all times, mean to most guests on Virtual Jungle Cruise? What it means to teenagers and young adults: When the ride starts, stand up and jump around. What it means to parents who have been told their child must sit on the raft floor...

Re: Here's Your Sign: The Disney Saga

Take it easy, Indy! Glad to hear you are mending well. =) Here's a quickie SG tale... I was doing a first day training at DisneyQuest. While doing my tour of the Explore Zone, a guest stops me with surprise in her voice and eyes: SG: Oh! You're a person! Me: Yes, ma'am... I am a person. How can I he...

Re: OMG! What did I just Say?! (Spiel Oopies)

At DQ Animation Academy, I was getting sick with the flu one day that I started a Donald class as Mickey. Thankfully, didn't get too far into the class before a guest called out 'What about Donald?'. I sat there a few moments and laughed a little. 'Well, I'll be. Thank you, ma'am. And sorry about th...

Things Thrown...

A list of things thrown at Animation Academy DisneyQuest and bit of venting on my part. First off, the DisneyQuest building is built to be rather open spaced in the center. Those on the fifth and fourth floor can lean over the railing to see the second floor below while munching on dinner. Third flo...

Re: Here's Your Sign: The Disney Saga

SG story for a SG that really needed a sign. At DisneyQuest Coasters we have everyone take their items out of their pockets and put them in a locker so nothing flies out of their pockets. We then give them a key to wear around the wrist for said locker and I tell them it is the only way into the loc...

If I didn't work merch...I'd never believe this one. So funny! A few weeks ago I had a guest ask if we took Visa, MC, or American Express. Told him we take all three. He replied] That's a good one. I remember having similar questions when I worked quick service cashier at MGM, but never like that. ...
