UNCLE WALT’S INSIDER H.Q., SVALBARD — Because one annual award is never enough, Uncle Walt’s Insider is proud to announce our new Uncle Walt’s Insider Legends award. And the inaugural recipient is our own Uncle Walt!
This award goes out to those who are dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created Uncle Walt’s Insider, with the hope that it (Uncle Walt’s Insider, not the award) will be a source of joy, reliable information, inspiration, and churros to all the world.
A difficult choice
The competition was tough this year, but Uncle Walt edged out the rest of those up for the award by obtaining 127% of the eligible votes. An emotional Uncle Walt choked up as he accepted the award:
“When I first dreamed up this website with the boys, I thought about all of the misinformation out there. And I just wanted to do what I could to help. I would like to thank all of the little people who voted for me. There are just too many to name. But you know who you are.”
All of us at Uncle Walt’s Insider are extremely proud to bestow this award upon our beloved Walt. His humility, unparalleled leadership, and other amazing abilities too long to put into one article [Ed.: Not to mention the cost involved!].
