Oh, man. That guy was a total classic. I remember one scene in his short-lived TV show, CPO Sharkey, he told the tall, gangly subordinant officer to "go milk a giraffe." I also remember in MAD magazine they had a section on handling undesirable people on the phone. It had Mr. Warmth firing off retorts like " By the way, don't dial with the same finger you use to pick your nose with. It gets the phone all messy!" Finally the guy he's talking to says "This is J. Edgar Hoover! Who is this?" Whereupon Rickles says, "This is a recording."

So long, Hockey Puck. Yes, I know he used that on hecklers, but....
