I noticed when the octopus was unsuccessful snagging the crab with all eight arms, it tried a single arm instead. The crab was like, "Come and get me, sucker! You want a piece of me? You want a piece of me? Not happening! Come on, loser, put up your dukes!"
The octopus was so intent on getting that crab it didn't notice the seal until too late. I presume the crab got away. Yep, if you're not careful, life will really get you.
