Other Names for DCA
One I always used was "The Other Park"
"A little swordplay, now and then, keeps my mind off sheep!"
"You're messing with my Zen thing, man."
"Dreams are as portals,
flat visions of misty places,
fragments bound below my surface,
but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
and they are real."
"You're messing with my Zen thing, man."

well this isn't a stupid name, just a funny joke that I heard from my boyfriend who works at Jungle Cruise. Don't really know if anyone actually said it to guests though. And this was something that started going around before DCA opened.
"Join us in 2001 when we open our new park, Disney's California Adventure. Then join us in 2003...when we bring back the parking lot."
heh, bring back the parking lot!

heh, bring back the parking lot!
Amen to that!!!
What genius thought of building massive parking structures for a location that (A) relies on trams to ferry guests to the entrance and (B) is big-time EARTHQUAKE country?!? I don't suppose anyone remembers what happened over at Cal State Northridge in 1994...
If they do bring back the parking lot, I'd PAY to drive a bulldozer or swing a wrecking ball at that joke of a theme park - yeah - why pay for a California Adventure when you can see the real California outside the gates for free???

Don't forget our favorite manager calling it "The Bad Park." *sigh* I'm going to miss him.Polar33 wrote:My faveorite alternate name for DCA was stolen from one of my managers. Instead of DCA, it's "DOA".
Me: "Yeah, I just made a crap load of money today!" Gadget: "You mean 'crud load.' Me: Yeah, sure whatever.

my favorites are "Dirt Cheap Attractions" and "Don't Come Again." Both of these courtesy of Bug's Land CM's :D
Guests are a lot like children, either they never listen or they think you are lying even when your not!!
