I had tulips pop up every year at my place on the Mainland. This is amazing.

Absolutely Gorgeous! I was born in Lompoc, Valley of the Flowers, and this looked like the view across the street from my Grandma's House. I am pretty certain that her land was used at one point for the Burpee Seed Factory there. Now it is being developed into a Condo Complex.

Condos? Outrageous!
That land is far more suitable to pinot noir.

I agree,but not my decision.
I did like the Movie Sideways which celebrates the Santa Ynez Valley and is devoted to the love of a good wine. Lompoc also has a Wine Ghetto and the Solvang area has many wineries and beautiful scenery.
Before Lompoc became famous for its Flowers, it was formed as a Temperance Colony.

Santa Ynez Valley and Napa Valley have at least one thing in common. Outside of the valleys wine country tours are better known as drunk driving.
