well, we are finally planning a visit to our happiest place. we will be at DL either dec 11 or 12(prob the 11th so hubby wont miss football) and will be bringing our son on his first visit(he is 19 months old) so we will be focusing mainly on the baby friendly rides, meeting mickey and getting Max his first ears(his head is soo big, will prob have to get the adult size). I promise to speak up for you all if i see a guest being stupid! would love to get a SGT shirt to wear but i am credit cardless at this time, bummer ( i really wanted to get a bib for Max). maybe ill just have to make my own. its been 2 years so we will be thoroughly enjoying this. when it gets closer ill post with a clue as to what im wearing(too far in advance to choose now) and maybe ill see some of you there. its been way too long!

ps. as a call center/customer service rep, i can get my own slew of stupid people on the phone, fortunately I have the ability to hit the mute button and say anything i want to them as well as giving the phone the finger(or my favorite, "thank you, have a nice day" hang up the phone "a**hole/F-er"etc. how horrible it must be to have to hold your tongue/edit your responses. the lost common thing i have to endure(no where near as crazy as you guys) is when i get an overflow call i ask "would you like to register for a call back or continue to hold?" and the most common response is........."You fix machine?"
possible change of plans

well, unfortunately my grandma has goten ill, she is stable as of now, but its a wait and see type situation. might not be able to go to DL this saturday, if not, might plan for xmas weekend since thats the next weekend we have avail. my question to DL CM's: is xmas day super crowded?? i know we wont try for new years, went many times in past, but wont try that with a 19 month old. Just want to know possible crowd levels. hubby leaves on a job in jan so if we cant make it now, will have to wait for march. we really enjoy the xmas decor and know the mansion would be more baby friendly now too. thanks in advance for your replies!

Pretty much all of Christmas and New Year's week is crowded. If you must go, get there at park opening find somewhere to rest (even if you're not planning on getting a hotel room, might be worth it, if not booked) in the middle of the day, or else shop, eat and such in the middle of the day, and then make sure to stay til park closing. It's the only way to do it that time of year. Last year during Christmas, I was working in Toontown and it was basically one giant line. The lines for the coaster and Roger were about 5 feet apart from each other.
Another thought for the middle of the day is to get a spot early to see the parade and any shows you want, I'm talking a couple of hours. You'll get great spots for the parade/show and be able to relax for a while. Middle of the day is the worst time for rides.
Also, be sure to use the fastpass system liberally, and early. They'll be done distributing fairly early in the day because it's so crowded.
Best advice is to not go then, but I understand wanting to see all the Christmas stuff so if you go, know it'll be insanely crowded and try not to get too cranky and take it out on everyone around you, especially your family and my fellow CMs. :)

I'll be at DL on Sunday. I'll finally get to see snow on Main Street (weather permitting). It'll be my godson's first visit. Looking forward to it.

No GMC DON'T TRIP! Go for the hat bit. CFA is way too overcrowded & St. Joe's is absolutely no fun....believe me :!:

have you ever been happy, pissed and sad at the same time? well, after 24 hrs of thinking grandma was going to die any minute, the doctor let us know they had her test results mixed up with someone else and she is getting better and as long as her intestinal infection doesnt rupture she should be home in a few days. so i was of course immediately happy, then pissed at the dr, then later on after talking about it with my hubby i got real sad because we determined the reason they were able to determine the mistake was the other person probably died "unexpectedly" what a weird few days. so, we will be going tomorrow after all, yipee!! i have to buy grandma something special from the park! its max's first trip so we will prob spend the morning in fantasy land, then head to dca midday because we cant miss playhouse disney, that will prob be max's favorite part since he watches those shows every morning. then in the late afternoon/evening back to DL(pirates/mansion are always a must) we also plan on putting max in a little santa suit we bought and getting his pic with mickey so we can use it for our xmas cards. hope to "see" some of you there and if i see any stupid guests, i have your back!! i think ill be wearing my 666 tshirt with the devil horns, wont be too hard to miss since as hubby says "i have a nice rack" if anyone knows where they will be let me know and ill try to find you. what a week its been!
