No, not someone hitting the ground. Oakley THUMP to be exactly. Yeah, the sunglasses.

...what? You don't know?

Oh very well. Oakley has recently come out with their latest invention, the OAKLEY THUMP. Sunglasses? Big deal, so what. The big deal? Oh, ok, how bout A BUILT IN MP3 PLAYER.

Oh yes folks, I just did say, a MP3 player built into the glasses.

Any Oakley O Store will have them now but you can check out http://www.Oakley.com/thump for the details, if you get the chance, try them on. They hit the market this past saturday and the guy at the store here in Orlando said you are literally the first person on the East Coast to have a pair (I had been at the store since 10:30 am, they were released at 1 pm).

So what do you folks think about these beauts? (Just to note I have the 256 mb... two actually. What? You think Im at Disney for the money?)[/url]

This would be handy while skiing, or any other solo sport where you want to listen to your own music. (I.E. biking, hiking, fishing, snowmobiling, etc.) Although I wouldn't recommend wearing them while surfing. 8)

It's like Bill Engval said, you could lose a pair of expensive sunglasses and never find them...However, you could take a pair of cheapos on a cruise and they would fall into the ocean, I could bet that some diver would pop up out of the water saying "Somebody loose a pair a glasses! Found a pair of cheepos floatin to the bottom!"

Or the always funny Ron White:

I lost a pair of sunglasses and I went to the sun glass hut and here is the question, Why does a pair of Sunglasses cost more than a 25 inch color television set? I asked the guy very politely, How do you sleep at night you F****** prick?"

The guy said "well apparently you dont get it"
"I'm listenin"
He said "These glasses block 100% of all UV rays"
I said "No apparently you dont get it, this thing decodes a digital sattelite signal that picks up from Outer F****** SPACE! Then I found out the glasses got basic cable and I felt like a dickhead"

It would be easy, yet difficult to lose these things however, I mean, you never have to take them off since the lenses pop up (God I love the person who decided on that feature).

That is cool, but I lose stuff and break it easily!!

It's useful that you don't need to carry a MP3 player with you everywhere you go.

They took into account the deal about breaks. They've tested these with Snowboarders, Bird Man (AKA Tony Hawk), and a few other aggresive type sports and what beatings they took, it kept up pretty damn good.

I've had a lot of people ask me why would I need this since I have an iPod already.

Well, one I stay on top of all electronics, (Im on the far side of the spectrum, completely away from computer geeks and the like), two its easy to stoe away unlike an ipod (With these, you just put them in your hand). Never have to take them off to take a call (Just flip the ear buds up).

I've contemplated doing it. But the whole fact that the lenses are mirrors (Polarization that Oakley does), it wouldn't work, unless I flip them up.

I figure, since I work at Coaster, if I have Aerosmith playin, they'd let me get away with it.

But snap back to reality.

In all honesty, I dont know if its bad that when they posted the updated Can/Cant wear pages in the break rooms, I was able to instantly think of the names for each of the Oakleys they pictured (Wires, ect. I actually saw an M-Frame...which is just totally not suited for Florida at all)
