The author behind mega-hits like "The Hunt for Red October," "Patriot Games" and "Rainbow Six" -- died last night at the age of 66.I always thought his second book, Red Storm Rising, was the best. It was the only one with no Jack Ryan too.

I think Cardinal of the Kremlin may have been my favorite.
RIP

Red Storm Rising was perhaps my favorite. Of course with the way things are going right now in Washington DC I think Debt of Honor is not a bad read.

Loved 'em all, but
Cardinal of the Kremlin was my favorite, too. His books enthralled me with the way so many detailed plotlines would develop and intersect.
RIP Mr. Clancy, and thank you for many hundreds of hours of entertainment.
Here's the
NY Times story on his passing.

You forgot Dr Suess, but I've been accused of being childish before too.
