So how many of you have heard about the new tour for the halloween season? This definatly is a stupid employee trick. Before I begin Plaid Peoples? I am sorry but because of you I am posting this so if any of you were in this last night? You now know who I am.
Ok so friday I get a message from scheduling that my shift was being extended to 1:30am. I was all huh? The park closes at 11pm....So I find out that Plaid is doing training for this new tour and they needed a couple ROs at the Mansion for this training. So after we "closed the mansion" I sat at Tower for oh...TWO HOURS while plaid got a mini tour of back stage and the ball room so they could practice what they would be doing for this tour thingy. The other cast member was taking them to the ballroom with the key. The lead was loading them and playing with creep mode. So they had to practice getting to the ballroom, and timing putting the attraction into creep mode so that the person pretending to be a ghost in the ball room (yay peppers ghost trick) would be seen by all those in the tour. So the did they do this once, but SIX times.
No one told Facilities so everytime someone came up to the tower they asked "We're still open? Why are you still here?"
At least we got donuts.....

yeah they spent a good 30 min blocking the exit to the train station, then the hopped on the train and some of them in the back row left a 5 person gap between themselves and the person next to them, and i kinda shot the guy a glace, like "i know you know the routine, you get on my train all the time!" and then asked to to slide down, and they did, and i wasn't there until 2 or whatever, but i was bumbed to hear that all the tours were sold out already.

Donuts :?: :?: Krispy Cremes :?: No one gave us donuts because you were forced to do OT! This was pretty funny though as I heard Facilities went NUTS. They had absolutely NO CLUE as to who was in Mansion & why. The blame game is still in full swing

I didn't get OT....it made my shift a 7.5. Argh it was no fun. I lost all this sleep because of it! -Throws big heavy rocks at people- I was cold, tired and trying not to fall asleep as I watched empty buggies go by. The manager was funny though he was running around like a crazy person and trying to find stuff out about EVERYTHING cause he was Attractions 1 at the time as well as River 1.

Well I actually got to experience the tour. I got to be the lucky cast member who got to escort Gracey into the Ballroom. It was entertaining. This all happened Thursday.
I am already tagged out, I have the flashlight and the key to the ballroom door. Gracey dashes backstage and hands his ID to Plaid #1 who runs and tags him out. Gracey proceeds to remove his plaid vest, dust his face with baby powder and put on a shinny vest. Plaid #1 hands Gracey his key. I walk with Plaid #2 and Gracey to the ballroom. Things go smoothly, and about 3 quarters of the way through Plaid #2 (who has the radio) radios whoever has the radio at the other end to find out if we are clear. I told him we weren't. He looked at me and asked how did I know. I pointed up to where you could see the track of the mansion and the buggies going by in creep. He said "Oh". We finished. At the time I was holding Gracey's key to his lock. Poor Gracey was all confusd on why he had a key because during the training they used the yellow lock so only one person had the key. I proceeded to explain the entire lock out/tag out proceedure. Yeah good times......

we actually have enough locks at indy to bring most of the training group into the attraction, but i've seen your guy's RAC, it's dinky. and BTW i get to experience it too because they go on indy as part of the tour. It sucks we have to Uber up the themed Phrasing. at first i though the guy playing Gracie was jsut an asshole, but it turns out that he sucks at playing dead, i totally got it when the chick came through playing Gracie, she was already looking a little pale to begin with, i wonder if the pale themselves as they go....?

They put on baby powder back stage at the mansion before going into the ball room, it was funny watching Gracey do it because first he forgot to take off his plaid vest first getting baby powder all over it, and then second there was baby powder all over the floor. Yeah I won't get to be an escort again till a week from Thurs, I am at the evil ride that uses beehives for cars on thurs.
