Stupid Guest Tricks

I get daily notices of many things, one of which is new merchandise items in the gift shop. Today's notice gave me pause:

We have Mr. Potato Head sets from $9.95 and Honeymoon Accessories from $7.95.

So.... are we selling Honeymoon Accessories for Mr/Mrs Potato Head, or is Disney now marketing "Honeymoon Accessories"? While one can imagine (far too easily) what sort of "Accessories" might be made with a Disney theme, and I can imagine them selling well, is stocking such really going to support our "family-friendly" theme?

Well, I have felt for quite some time that adults are a somewhat neglected sector in Disney's marketing plan.

Why shouldn't the magic continue after the guests have left the park? ;)

I hear he is quite the spud and has massive ap-peal. And you can buy spare parts in the event that any of them fail.

Well, I seem to recall some line about Mr. and Mrs. Potatohead wanting to have a few tatter-tots....

I guess that give a new meaning to "doing the mashed potato"

and when they are bored with that,
there will be the little fry playset.
