Well, it's nice to know there are some things worse than Congress in the public's opinion.

The thing I always find interesting, though, is that everyone loves to have Congress, but they love their representative. Voters elect the encumbant more often than not, so they don't like the body as a group, but of course their guy is great. I wonder what it is they most dislike about the body, and if they really think that their rep isn't like that.

At least with a colonoscopy, a problem can be identified and a solution implemented in a timely manner, thus saving a life. The political system in this country can not make that same claim.

Though the experience is roughly the same...

Not quite. The stuff I need to drink before experiencing Congress tastes better.

But yeah, colonoscopies for sure.

I don't know about comparing it to Congress, but a couple of years ago I decided to watch a movie during the prep period for a colonoscopy. Someone had recently recommended a movie, so we grabbed that one without knowing much about the story line. It was Ghost Town with Ricky Gervais. For those of you unfamiliar with it, he plays a character that dies and is brought back after 7 minutes only to realize he can now see ghosts. He died during the course of a colonoscopy.

Most amusing, but to be honest, I don't see any way to do a poll like this and be assured that folks are giving an honest answer, rather than "playing along with the joke". Still got me chuckling, though. :)
