Is it true about the Main Street Bakery becoming a Starbucks?

I am hoping someone knows if this is a total renovation or just adding their name to the sign in small letters.

The idea is breaking my heart.

PS Sorry to Mods if this belongs in the Break Room, I realize now that according to the new info at the top of the forum I should have put it there. The text is tiny on my iPad and I didn't see it at first, apologies!

While I haven't been to see it myself, everything I've seen and read online about the California Adventure location says that they've worked pretty hard to fit the Starbucks logo, etc. in fairly subtly. Small signage, themed costumes, location still sells Disney food items as well.

There's a good article about the new locations here: http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2012/11/0 ... announced/

Overall, I'm pretty happy about it, if only so that I won't have to make as many special trips to the Poly to get coffee so that I can avoid the Nescafé crap. Starbucks wouldn't have been my first choice, but it's at least better than most of what's there now...

No...it going to have Starbucks Coffee and some of Starbucks menu but all indications are that the items that were available before will still be there. I wish I could find the link that shows what they did with the Starbucks presence in DCA, but I can't seem to call it up for some reason. Anyway, they will be remodeling the inside to make more seating capacity and room for their magic "ways to make you spend more money for coffee then you paid for your first car" machines and will probably have a small, theme acceptable, banner type sign on the front of the building, but it isn't a Starbucks store. No need for your heart to break it will still be the Main Street Bakery. :)

Thank you! That's good to know. Visions were dancing around in my head of that big green and white sign visible on Main Street when you enter the park! Glad to hear it won't be so.

I know some people who will be very happy to have coffee other than Nescafe in the parks. Doesn't make no nevermind to me, though. I never developped a taste for coffee. I am glad it is going to be subtle branding. I'd hate to have them spoil the theming for something I don't like, since really, it's all about me. :D:
