I have a friend who works for TBN; she says that lots of people are promoted so rapidly in entertainment that they don't get a chance to acclimate and get their bearings before they can control themselves. That is why so many people, both secular or not, get into trouble. The entertainment industry just eats you alive. It's a rare person who can keep their nose clean and themselves out of trouble, and have a long, productive career.

Hmmmmm, I remember one time tho, he was on-air with Mary Ann Mobley (his wife) and forget what it was about, but he tore into her

Never liked him after that, was very surprised they left it on the show and thought he must be worse behind the scenes
.29 alcohol level would cause loss of consciousness in most of us....

What percentage die at that point? When I went to liquor service classes in Oregon, the charts didn't go above .35 because at that point, a vast majority of people would be dead. What I don't get is the occasional news report about people whose BAC goes over 1.00, like the guy in Poland in 1995, who was found with a 1.43. I assume everyone here knows what Blood Alcohol Content is. For anyone who does not, it's a measure of the percentage of your blood that is now alcohol, just as .01 would equal 1% in mathematics. It takes practice to get to the level where you get above .50, meaning you now have blood in your alcohol system.
Yikes.

Chronic alcoholism can get you to that point. The body, over time, develops a higher and higher tolerance which results in a high-functioning alcoholic.
