Be Our Guest will offer beer and wine, but only on the dinner menu. I'm not sure how I feel about this...but I know I will enjoy a glass of wine when we eat there on Thanksgiving! I wonder is on the menu...

Wonder no more.

Not really sure how I feel about it either. It feels kind of like the Magic Kingdom is growing up, and I'm not sure I like that idea. I doubt it will change the character of the park (not like cruising World Showcase during the Food and Wine festival), but it does *feel* different somehow.

This issue cracks me up. This was quite the discussion in the break rooms today. My favorite point is when someone called this a gateway to more alcohol at MK. I seriously doubt that Disney is even thinking about setting up a beer garden outside small world or turning the Sunshine Tree Terrace into a Margarita stand.

The people will only be able to drink at dinner. You will not be able to walk up off the street and say give me a beer. It will not happen. If someone at MK really desperately feels the need to go get some drinks then its a short walk to Contempory resort.

I personally do not see a problem with this. I still consider MK a Dry Park because if your there as a normal visitor then you will not be able to drink unless your at dinner. It does not make MK feel any less special.

While its not open to the public. Club 33 in Disneyland has been serving drinks for years and nobody says that it makes Disneyland feel less special in any way. Majority of the people coming to the park will not see or eat at Be our Guest restaurant.

Some people on boards X & Y claim to be CANCELLING their reservations at Be Our Guest in protest ! Good riddance, it means I might stand a chance of getting in for dinner !

I'm not keen on it. I hate to see it come. And you didn't used to see alcoholic drinks offered at almost all the quick serve places at Animal Kingdom either, but they're there now.

If DCA can do it, so can any other Disney park in their eyes.

Not saying that I think it should happen, but putting a bar next to Small World seems like Marketing Genius..... ;)
