I bet they had to be very careful removing the dust and cobwebs in there--one wrong move, and a rare antique that shed light on this lady's life would be gone forever. I wonder what the condition of the rugs, etc., was? After all that time, there had to be some breakdown of the fibers--no artifical fabrics back then, just pure wool. Stunning pictures.

I'm more interested on how they can keep themselves from sneezing all over the place. Those windows haven't been opened in decades.
