Hi everyone, I have been checking out your site for a couple of years and because of it I really strive to be a GOOD guest and not a stupid guest!!
My daughter is currently participating in the college program and is loving it, however....................today she was seating for a show in HS when this old man and his family (including his grandkids) stopped in the middle of the row and sat down. Well of course, she had to go over and ask the people to stand up and move to the end of the row. Well the old fart got mad and loudly called her a very nasty name, but he moved.
She has heard swearing before but it did kind of shock her. It just annoys me that people don't think twice about swearing at a cast member much less a college kid (and my only child to boot - LOL).
First time this has happened in the theatre, she said it happens all the time during parades. Unbelievable that people can be so nasty at the happiest place on earth.
Thanks for listening to my rant and I promise to continue to be a good guest!!

:sgthello: !
It is good to have stories like that here. Make sure she knows she is welcome as well. If you think that's bad, just wait until she comes home at the end of her program. She will have stories to curl your toes, and she will be a stronger person for it.
The thing that is, well, was always shocking to me about the cussing is whose mouth from whence it would come, and who they just didn't care was around.

Welcome, DCPMom. The Marsupials have obviously been here, and the Beverage committee should be here soon. I suggest saving your complementary beverage until AFTER the safety spiel, as it gets a little bit toasty. *Stands by with extinguisher, pan, and broom.*
As for what happened to your daughter, it's unfortunate, but some guests have so much of a sense of entitlement that they think that the rules, policies, et. al. don't apply to them. People will NOT move over in theater based attractions. Even moreso, the cursing was uncalled for, and by rights, she should have been able to eject the party in question.

DCPMom!!
It's pretty obvious what happened. The MOF had one that took a wrong turn and ended up coming out of his mouth. ;)

Please, Please inform your daughter NEVER EVER take abuse from hostile guest(s)! She does not need to be meligned in any way while a working CM. She must ask her leads or managers for WDW Security numbers. I have a few I will call for help - any type of help. Your daughter should have at least 2 WDW Security numbers memorized. She is to use them for her safety, other CM's safety, as well as the safety of other guests.
Disney Security is on property to HELP & PROTECT ALL CMs, not just guests. Security will escort all abusive guests out, even before statements are written. Abusive &/or hostile guest's A Ps can be pulled by Legal within hours of the incident if warranted. Trust me on this DCPMOM.

Thanks for the welcome - yal are beyond sweet!!!! And I'll have a beer please :0)
I showed her your responses this morning and she said she just wanted to get the theatre full and that he actually did NOT move. So the next line of guests that were following her she just swung around right next to him and stated "thank for your cooperation and for NOT stopping in the middle of the isle as you can see what an inconvenience it can be to other guests". Thank goodness this was not the finale or it would have been awful.
She has been there since January and her last day will be next Friday 6/1. She absolutely loved every minute of it, except being sworn at and................can't believe I going to say this...............cheerleaders - LOL. She used to be a competitive cheerleader and never understood how much everyone loathed them at WDW, but she experienced it first hand working PAC and cheer teams trying to go places that were roped off for the parade because they were late for their check-in at Indiana Jones.
PS - she now says she will go back after she finishes her bachelors in 1 yr and do the program again while NOT living in a wellness apt :0)

I have a few fishy guesses...
Not calling your daughter fishy. But I hope the rest of her program goes along swimmingly.
How close am I?
