I was so saddened by the passing of Dick Clark today. He seemed ageless-even with his stroke I thought he would make it to a 100.
My Dad has worked many Dick Clark produced shows from the American Music Awards to Bandstand episodes-thank you Dick Clark for putting food on our table.
Farewell Dick Clark- R.I.P.

I was just thinking of Dick Clark because I'm convinced the interviewer in The Hunger Games series is based on him -- ageless guy who does his best to present the performer to advantage (the performer's advantage, that is).

Clark always brought a little class to the party, whatever the project. R.I.P.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Man, I just never pictured Dick Clark dying. I know, intellectually, that everyone dies sooner or later, but Dick seemed like the exception.

RIP.

the Philadelphia Way
We're gonna Drop In,
on all the music they play
on the Bandstand(bandstand)
That's exactly the song I thought of, DisneyMom -- VM just did a Bandstand-themed show and CD last year. <sigh>

We're goin' swingin',
We're gonna swing in the crowd,
And we'll be clingin'
And floatin' high as a cloud,
The phones are ringin'
My Mom and Dad are so proud
I'm on Bandstand! (Bandstand!)

RIP Mr. Clark.
