I saw the title and the performer and completely did not recognize either. And then I started playing it -- wow, yes, I remember that song!

Never heard it before. Born in '72.

I remember the tune but I don't recall it having the same lyrics. I sort of remember it being in a Bugs Bunny cartoon and it was a bit of a mocking song.

I found that the "Playmates" song was plagiarized from this other song. Listen at the 57 second mark.

most were at that timw. Tiny Tim, aka Herb, used to spend hours in the public library looking for stuff to base his music on.

I was born in 1948 and I remember the chorus completely, but the rest I don't recall at all. I think they used to play it on the radio a lot when I was a kid. Damn I'm old.
