Have you taken the Cinnamon Challenge? Eat a tablespoon of cinnamon and try to keep it down.

Take your grill out first.

Maybe they should try washing it down with a gallon of milk.

I remember in 4th grade someone brought toothpicks to school that had been soaking in cinnamon oil for more than a month. I wasn't popular so I didn't get one, but I do remember lots of kids in agony with burning mouths.

I loved those -- I wasn't popular either, but I could buy them from friends. They were intense, but not hot. The school ended up banning them, though, supposedly because of the alcohol content in the cinnamon solution.

We did cinnamon toothpicks when I was in elementary school. We got the cinnamon oil from a local pharmacy. We got cut off because some kid knocked his soaking tray on to the floor and the oil apparently ate a hole in the linoleum floor tile.

I used to go to a candy store that once a year, when the humidity was right, made cinnamon candy. Very intense, but very good. :)

Their used to be a Candy Store in the little town we now live in which is gone now. But growing up when we would visit all the time, this place (Called Candyland oddly enough) used to sell what was called "Super Cinnamon Frisbees" that where supposedly this super potent Cinnamon candy.

I miss penny candy.

Anyway! They where a little hot but oh so yummy, my cousins just stared in Awe at me when I popped one and was fine then bought a whole bag of them. They forgot I grew up in Florida with plenty of spicy food and an complete addiction to Chinese Ginger Candies ;)

Although I wouldn't want to try to eat a spoonful of Cinnamon, that just sounds stupid and rather unpleasant without the sugar to sweeten up the taste. However cinnamon is a GREAT addition to spaghetti sauces! :D:

When we lived in El Toro--now called Lake Forest--there was the Old El Toro Country Store. We could buy cinnamon toothpicks, in a wax paper packet, ten of them for five cents. It had a warning printed on the front of the package that overuse could cause mouth irritation. The store was torn down before 1970, which I feel was a crime, they should've moved it somewhere and restored it, like they did the El Toro Church and the women's club meeting house, and put them on Heritage Hill. I can't find those cinnamon toothpicks anymore, and I still miss that funky old store.
