Dennis Ritchie, a computer scientist who wrote the popular C programming language and helped develop the Unix operating system, has died. He was 70.

This guy is a very big deal. His developments literally touch just about everyone on the planet.

I literally just heard about this, and wanted to post it here, since in the two days since his death almost no one in the media has covered it.

Thank you, Hobie. Somehow, even though I was going to post it, I had a feeling you already had. Once again, my hat's off to you.
