I saw this live a few years back, and it just made me go

It's playing on fear of the exotic and it's just so out of place now. And if you look at the lyrics, they're pretty gross themselves; I mean, they make use of racist tropes like "no likey" and "me sicky."
It's basically saying "look at that weird food those crazy foreigners eat! Ew!" and nothing more. Which is especially dumb, because sushi?
Is not that weird.

As a former instructor that traveled to five of the seven continents I can truly say there is stuff out there that either looks, smells, or tastes a lot worse than sushi could ever dream of.

Pictures do not do it justice. It is nasty. Bibimbap looks good actually :)

I like the song, but I originally heard it on Prairie Home Companion. I can't get anything from their website to play on my computer. Anything to get Maxwell's Silver Hammer out of my head, LOL.

It is pretty good. Every time I went to Korea the account SE insisted we get it the first night after arrival. I figured we were safe as the Hilton restaurant wouldn't poison repeat customers.

I thought about Durian. I have a former co-worker who was posting on FB about his various durian experiences for about 2 weeks. I'd try it. Natto's smell is localized, the taste is horrid, the texture just as bad, and the "natto threads" are just plain scary.
