This is a picture of a single Perseid meteor taken from the International Space Station.

That is COOL!

(Yeah, yeah, I know, actually extremely hot.)

Since the closure of the U.S. space program I wonder if one of the astronauts was wondering if he could hitch a ride back home.

You mean like the surfing astronaut in Dark Star? And what ever happened to Beach Ball?

I was thinking about the astronaut riding the Corvette home in Heavy Metal!

That's kinda like the ISS watching the final landing of Atlantis.

I would have given just about anything to be able to be there to see that.

I still can't believe that I heard the sonic boom. I stood outside, figuring it was going to be too far away. And then, there it was... so very loud, even from 65 miles away.

And it was my first time seeing the ISS. Lots of people, thanks to the timing, thought the ISS was Atlantis. :D:
