IMO, if the report had the same spelling and grammar as his posts here, that's what is going to have done the most damage to any possible validity of his claims. As I regularly tell students, using proper spelling and grammar in your correspondence will go a long way in making you sound informed and intelligent, whether you really know what you're talking about or not... :D:

I've always liked the story of the panda who goes into a restaurant and eats shoots and leaves.

Or he eats, shoots and leaves. The importance of a single comma...

I was introduced to that book when I was writing a work e-mail back in Oregon to one of the housekeeping managers, and she said I had such wonderful grammar that I should enjoy that book. I did.
