Wonder if Disney tried to sue over this,
or it just made them laugh. I like the disclaimer too.
Cheap Country Bears?

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

That sounds like a really good reason to head east.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Even as a child those type of shows, Showbiz Pizza and Chuck-E-Cheese with the singing shows to watch while you eat always faintly creeped me out. Now I still can't eat around them, I just keep staring at them transfixed (Example Tomorrowland Terrace with the Lounge Show). They don't bug my another other time but it's like the little voice in my head keeps saying "Girl, it's gonna get up and steal your food if you don't stare at it every single moment".
Showbiz Pizza, wow that does bring back the memories. Long before Orlando go Chuck-E-Cheese we had Showbiz and Starbucks. Now I'm feeling a bit old!
I believe my weirdness on this comes from the Chuck-E-Cheese I had growing up had this like 7 foot tall Lion as an Elvis impersonator in the "Adult Lounge" area. It was giant and creepy, some how just unholy.

The best (outside Disney, of course), though they didn't have characters, was Farrell's Ice Cream Parlors on the west coast. I was fortunate enough to have Mr. Farrell come speak to my high school and I got to shake hands with him.
Best part was, there were no creepy singing show. But if someone had a birthday, they let loose all the stops and held nothing back!

There's still a few Farrell's that I know of. My sister's soccer team went there and ordered "The Zoo," and I had a lot of fun seeing the people run around the whole place delivering it to us! I might go back again sometime...That place was really neat. The location that I went to is closed now (Mira Mesa, San Diego), though. Mission Viejo and Santa Clarita are the only two left that I know of...rumor had it The Block @ Orange was to get one in 2003, but that never came thru either.Big Wallaby wrote:The best (outside Disney, of course), though they didn't have characters, was Farrell's Ice Cream Parlors on the west coast. I miss Farrell's. Such a fun place. Now I want ice cream.
