WFTV (Orlando, Fla.): Pygmy Rattlesnake Bites Tourist In Kissimmee

Trust your gut instincts, people. Snake = Run away!

I do love how his wife tries to spin it. "But he was only protecting the children.". I do think she would have much preferred to publicly call him an idiot, lol.

"He has such a huge heart that he was in fear of the children." Huh? I guess kids can sometimes be more scary than snakes.

I remember once a bull snake was crossing a golf course. the man, with his wife, seeing it non poisonous and wanting to be a big man in front of the wife, picked up the snake and started swinging it around by it's tail. which scared said snake,
which twisted around and bit the man hard. which made the wife laugh. just because it's not poisonous don't mean it don't have teeth. and a bull snake has a nice mouth full of little sharp teeth. hmm, I hope the snake didn't get sick after this.

This is Florida, there are snakes, both venomous and nonvenomous, all over. We've had two snakes in my area lately (both nonvenomous thankfully, one on a small walkway backstage (which is the only way to where we keep ice and some other supplies) and I heard one crawled into the shop and behind the front counter. If I had been behind the counter when the one crawled in I'd have jumped the counter and ran.

I HATE snakes, I don't even like walking past them at the zoo where they're behind glass! They give me the creeps.

I like snakes behind glass. I have seen snakes smashed by cars. Nice dry road kills on Lampson. My friend's dad was cutting the back yard lawn and was nailed by a rattle snake. His wife drove him to the hospital and we has fine after treatment (1 week later). He decided to get a law cutting crew.

When I went to Long Wood FL, there was this warm springs. My sisters, brother and my brother's wife were on this nature trail. We did see big spiders. We kept on teasing my youngest sister who has the fear of spiders.

We made it to the lake and saw people swimming. On a sign it said: No touching the wild life in the springs. Beware of your surroundings. :D:

(Warning! The following is a complete fabrication, and ends in a horrible pun!)

Actually, in the original draft of "Raider of the Lost Ark", Professor Jones was going to have a less dramatic weakness: he was going to be lactose-intolerant. There was even a scene where his rival, having caught him in the hot desert, offers him something cool to drink. This would have lead to the line...

"Shakes. Why did it have to be shakes?"

(Hey! I warned you! :cat1 :)
