No, I'm not going to start singing like Peter Pan... Hehe.
I got a note in the mail today, from Disney President George A. Kalogridis. (thud, why would he write to me?)
Dear(Scratched out Dear) Thanks! Purpura (Name changed to protect yours truly)
Walt once said,"The greatest moments in life are not concerned with selfish achievements but rather with the things we do for the people we love and esteem."
It is clear that you have love and esteem for our Guests. One shared how you jumped into action by quickly offering to carry trays for a Guest who couldn't carry them and her drinks and the stroller to the register.
Thank you for continuing to show our Guests such kindness.
Sincerely,
George

The note even came on Disney stationery, creamy white card stock paper with Mickey Mouse taking a step on the right front corner- before opening the card to read the words inside, and one of George Kalogridis' business cards.

Very good. It's amazing how much a little unexpected praise improves your day.

That's excellent, Purpura. Hearing how much you care about the guest experience here, you obviously deserve that :)

Yay! You are the true heart of Disney magic. I can't tell you how grateful I've been on occasion, when I was in WDW alone, struggling not to drop my tray (my weak hand is my free hand, the strong one goes to the crutch) and had a CM jump in, take the tray, and then lead me to a table. Makes me tear up every time, and I always make sure they get a proper thank you by commending them to Guest Service (my thank you letters to CMs are somewhat legendary :D: after my last trip...six separate letters, totaled 36 pages. They landed on one person's desk and she called to tell me she enjoyed reading them and that they made her whole department perk up that day. I'm sure reading about your kindness made everyone who heard of it all the way up to the top with you getting that letter, smile.
It's making me smile and that's a feat today. Thank you for being the Magic.
xoxo
