No, not lies about our favorite marsupial, just a very interesting web comic whose protagonist happens to be a wombat. Recommended: Digger, by Ursula Vernon.

Great link, Z! That's going to be my new excuse line whenever someone says I'm acting weird -- "Sometimes while tunneling I come across gases and old pockets of dead air. It bubbles up through the dirt and sends me loopy." :D:

I am really not sure how you managed to come across that. Do you Google "Wombat Comic" and "Wallaby Comic" from time to time?
Or just "Wombat Comic"?

And it was a rare enough event that they made a movie about it. And even that was 64 years ago. Like the prosecution in the Anthony trial, I rest my case!

Ursula Vernon is the BOMB. She is one of my favorite working artists.

I have a little teeny painting of hers of an axolotl. It's made of cute.
