"I cant go in there"

Time for another story.

While working the bypass for a very busy Main Street Electrical Parade showing I'm routing guests into my end of the bypass located between the Noodle Station and the Plaza Restaurant. Realize by this time I have drawn 3 large arrows made out of tape showing exactly where to enter and guests have been flowing into it for the past 45 minutes.

The first couple I send that way walks around the planter located between the entrance to the bypass and the restrooms. The man walks away from his wife and enters the mens restroom, the lady and her kids in the stroller into the womens. 2 minutes later they both come back and inform me that I must be mistaken, there were no exits in the restrooms and besides, they were split up.

The next couple asks where the quickest way out is for the park. I direct them to the bypass entrance. She looks at me and says "I can't go in there, it will dump me out at my room at Port Orleans and I wont be able to return this stroller".

The final couple just walks straight into the entrance, kicks the breaks on their stroller and sits down in the doorway.

Didn't you realize that the bypass actually feeds into a black hole that you can never exit out of?

At least it's more hopeful than Casey/Crystal redirect when people are befuddled that it might be quicker to exit to the stores. Or they just get extra confused and wander backstage.

I can't get over the guest who thought it would dump her at Port Orleans. Does she even know where she is? Has she bothered to look at a map while she's been at WDW?! I got lost probably 20 times while I was there, but even I could tell you that no exit on Main Street is going to lead you to Port Orleans! Wow!

We so need to make our own Disney version of Clue to play when next we all meet!

Attractions for rooms, characters for players, and the usual assortment of weapons: Dip, poisoned apple, dragon breath, breastfeeders.....

Overheard one dad tell his wife we were trying to send him to the stores to encourage impulse buys. I'm sure he had a field day pushing through the non-moving crowd on Main Street getting ready for the fireworks.

No, no! The black hole is connected to the trash cans! :cat1:

Zazu I think 'lack of personal hygiene' is a perfectly viable murder weapon for your Clue game!

Actually I thought that bypass was the entrance to the wormhole to the Gamma quadrant. . .

I hated going through those backstage areas when I was last there but I'll admit I was very grateful not to get crushed in post-fireworks crowds being I was talking with a certain marsupial, lost track of time and did the thing I never do (allow myself to get stuck in fireworks/parade crowds...)

I was glad I never saw it as a kid. Definitely would have taken a little away from the magic.

And I always try to cut through the shops going back- it's a lot cooler in there for starters!
