Nice! That's sticking it to a big business that cares not for the little people.

No surprise--BofA is #1 in worst customer service, followed by AOL, Capitol One, Sprint, Time Warner, Comcast, Citigroup, Progressive, JPMorgan Chase, and Farmer's Insurance. Funny how the crappy ones usually have the nicest T.V. ads.
Ten best are Amazon.com, Trader Joe's, Netflix, Nordstrom, Publix Supermarkets, Southwest Airlines, Apple, FedexCostco and UPS.

I've never dealt with the 10 worst but I have dealt with some of the 10 best and can attest to their great service.
I've never had any problems with Amazon.
When I have had problems with my Netflix service they took care of it right away. Publix's slogan "where shopping is a pleasure" is true, I HATE shopping and even so shopping there is a pleasure. Their customer service is excellent, the associates are always willing to help. One time I sent compliments to their corporate on two of their stores where I shop regularly and not only did I get a quick response from a corporate representative a manager at each store called me within a few days to thank me for the compliments and asked me to be sure to introduce myself the next time I was in the store.
I've flown Southwest a few times and the flights were excellent. All the staff, from the gate agents to the stewards/stewardesses were friendly and helpful.

It's odd that so many companies don't understand that good service costs very little more than crappy service, and the long-term benefits are enormous.
We were once an unhappy customer of BofA, and also a couple others on that list. We will *never* willingly do business with those firms again, and will recommend against them whenever they come up in conversation.
So just how much will their former rudeness eventually cost them?
Look then at the companies I've had good dealings with -- Disney prominently among them -- and ask how much free publicity and business my good remarks have brought them.
It's like the lesson from Traditions: "You want a job for the rest of the day, right? And you want a job next month, right? And you want a job next year, right? So hadn't you better be nice to the people who will make that possible?"

Ya know, everyone complains about Comcast but frankly I've never once gotten bad service from then in the 5+ years we had them for cable and I'd happily go back to them if we had that option in my tiny town. I can't explain it but I've always gotten amazing service as well as credits to my account when something went wrong (Cable out for 20+ minutes, here have a $15 credit to your account!). Maybe the farther from Philadelphia you are the worse the service gets?
I'm surprised that Geico isn't up on that list someplace because let me tell you, their about 10 kinds of completely useless.

I was with BoA for a while. When I finally got fed up with their poor service and nickel and dime fees, I found a local credit union (now a bank) that I've loved. When I submitted to an exit interview at BoA, I told them exactly why they stunk - but then saw the interviewer write down simply, 'better rate at CU.'
I wasn't terribly surprised ... but what's the point of interviewing your departing customers if you're not going to listen to them and try to get better?
