Apparently I have been spending too much time on here lately. I saw this license plate this morning and immediately thought the driver was a SG.

And it seems being a SG is a "sporting series"

Every day in Hawaii is tourist season. No limits need to be set as they tend to thin the herd on their own. Between the ones that go hiking into the mountains and never come back and the "mid-fifties, overweight (and under exercised), male) who drown while swimming, we see a steady reduction in the tourists.

And that's not to say the tourists are the only ones that get hurt or killed. A friend of my daughter is a fairly decent photographer. He likes to head up into the wilds of the northwest end of the island to shoot.

He wanted to get some rising moon pics a few weeks ago and left word with a friend that if he didn't call her by 8 PM she was to call his parents. No call.

The parents were alerted and they called the police. He was finally found at 10 AM the next morning. He had started back down a cliff, which broke away carrying him into the water and breaking his leg. Along with the busted leg he was also suffering from exposure as he was only wearing board shorts. Luckily, the water was fairly warm.

He said he'll now carry a device that he can text with via satellite as call phones don't get a signal in that part of the island. I told him he should carry an EPIRB so he can be rescued by the Russians.

You shouldn't need sunblock at a luau as their mostly held at night.

The only decision that should be made while in Hawaii is, beach or pool?
