Well, I've been around Sao Paulo a bit this week, and not once did I see a large group of Brazilian's following someone with a flag while cheering. My theory, parents/neighbors/teachers gather up the kids who are annoying the crap out of them and send them off for a week or so of peace. You don't encounter this in Brazil, as they are scattered throughout the country, and therefore are unable to gather into a large mass of mobile annoyance...

What's that plaque on the Statue of Liberty? "Give me your blood-curdling masses, yearning to scream free." Yeah that's what the brochure said.

The reason you didn't see that was because it is only done by Brazilian tourists. If they are in their home country, they are not tourist, so they don't behave in the manner described when they are abroad. :cat1:

Watch the show idiot abroad, he seems to find them while he is there. Though it is during carnival.
