Another post reminded me of this. It seems like they won't let you in anymore without the proper nametag is that correct?

Back in the days of yesteryear, that was not the case. My name is Alfred for reference. Funny nametags I owned (and still do):

Tyrone
Alf
Alff
Alfredd
Alph
Phred
Munoz
Elvis
Lola

Anyone else have some funny tags? How much you think I could get on ebay for the Elvis tag? ;)

My personal favorite (though I never had it) was the nametag that said MAN.

I've seen a few that are funny, my friend Dyan over at the Haunted Mansion has one that just says Di....and then my friend Daniel (a very very white boy) has one that says Gilberto.

Sasratna (some thai dude who got fired for telling a guest to "f" off!)
and daisey...I told everyone my parents were hippies

At WDW they still don't care too much which name that you use. The only odd nametag I'd ever had was Kane.

By the time I left, I had accumulated 19 name tags. Many of them were derivatives of my own name: James, Jim, Jimmy, Jimmie, Jaime. The best of my bunch is Hoat. I also have a brand new, never been worn 35th Anniv. tag.

In 1999 and 2000 there was a loaner nametag in the New Orleans Stores area named Bong. I couldnt believe we got away with that for the longest time.

my friends and i were discussing what we could do with my names, there wasn't much for my first name, other than G, but michael is my middle name, there were several with that, cole, mikie, ichol, mi, ike, and thensome, but i've long wanted to go by my last name, just because it's easier, and i don't know that anyone else in the resort goes by my last name.

Cast nametags are bad enough, but for a number of years WDW would engrave just about any name you wanted on a red guest nametag for $5.

Two stand out: One was a pimply-faced 13-year-old who bought one that said "Manager".

The best though was a teen girl who proudly wore the nametag "Crackwhore"!
