How much does a house weigh?

How much weight can a rural two-lane bridge support?

Would this be covered by house insurance, car insurance, or does it come under roadside assistance?

That is going to be one expensive house moving bill. I'd say, in after thought, that burning it down and buying new would have been way less costly.

On the plus side...that's one sturdy double wide, don't you think. Hardly even crinkled the siding.

When moving a house you get special moving insurance..or I should say you CONTRACTOR gets it. Yup, not kidding.

Now if you are smart you get it for the replacement value of the home and a (minimum) million dollar rider for problems like that..or taking out a light pole or....

The structural engineer for that bridge would detemine the weight load. So it depends on the owner of the bridge, his engineer, determines the weight load.

The house weight depends on structure type and of course dimensions. This wood frame house would weight considerable more if it was OLD, like historic old. The old growth wood weighs LOTS more..and is built better IMHO than modern homes.

According to this article there was confusion on the permits issued. You will also see why the bridge wasn't up to the job.
