...that I can wake my wife up from a DEAD sleep to come outside to look at the moon. If you are still awake, or just waking up... look up. It's pretty much over, but still amazing, almost an hour after the fact of the eclipse.

My DD got up for it, so, of course, it woke me up. Unfortunatly in Atlanta, we were too cloudy to be able to see it.

Darn it! Knew that was coming, but when it's pertinent I forgot it entirely.

I can usually count on hubby to remind me about that sort of thing, but he, of course, is out of town just when he'd be most useful. :abduct:
Glad someone enjoyed it. :) The year we moved here, there was a partial solar eclipse, and the maple in our front yard was leafed out just to the point of creating hundreds of mini-eclipses all over the sidewalk. We have more pictures of those than of the eclipse itself!

I was going to set up in the middle of Kaanapali's ninth hole fairway and shoot some pictures but we had a clod cover and some sprinkles last night. Lucky for me there was a party at a house next to the fairway. I stashed my gear under a tree, hopped a wall, and joined in for a couple of hours. Turned out to be a lovely event.
I wish I knew who the host was so I could send them a thank you note.

Both my boys were staying up to see it last night. Don't know if they were successful, as they were asleep when I left for work.

I wouldn't have been able to see it here, too much cloud cover...which has turned into a snow storm. Of course I know of someone who streamed it online for those that couldn't see, but I didn't stay up, I was up early this morning for work.

Stayed up and caught the begining and the full. After that it was 'lights out'.
