and I will be in Florida to home-hunt and apply at WDW.

My cell contract is satisfied and I'm curious who has the best cell coverage for the WDW area. What do you think?

I've been happy with Verizon. Very few dead zones and those are usually on back roads where I'm sure every carrier would have coverage trouble.

AT&T's coverage sucks for the most part I understand. I know of a few people with AT&T and they never seem to have good signal strength.

Tmobile, at least with the phones I have tried, is hopeless inside any show building, utilidor, or breakroom.

Stay away from AT&T. I love my iPhone, but I can't stand the coverage. Actually, that's all over Central Florida.

I have to agree. Verizon is the way to go. I used to use my cell phone on the job inside the Park, and only lost signal in the tunnels. Since then they've added more transceivers to handle the Disney app.

The only service I've had guests complain about reception is AT&T. There's likely a lesson in that.

Sprint is pretty good, I'm not sure if it still works, but there is supposed to be a 20% discount if you work for Disney.

Like Kurt said, at least for the two services I've tried, you get won't a signal in some indoor attraction buildings. :(

both our personal phones and the electronic work leash uses Tmobile, the few times that I actually turn them on while on vacation, they worked, at least well enough to receive voicemail and (of course) call the office and fix whatever mess has transpired while away.

I've been happy with Verizon except for one or two bad towers that hung my phone and a guest's phone up, mine at MCO, guest at Studios. For talk, Verizon usually has the best coverage, but I'm not a fan of their data performance.

There are cast member discounts for ATT, Verizon, Sprint, and the other one I think. If you can, hold off on renewing until you get hired so you can compare and abuse the discounts. I've been off contract for something like 2 or 3 years now and have been paying the same rate with the discount from my previous employer. As long as the phone works, they can't force you into a new contract.

In fact, hold off on buying as much as you can until you can check some of the CM discounts. Some are useless, but the phones and mattresses look good.

My sprint did OK in the WDW area. In SW Orlando (holyland / Mall area) I had reception issues.

I hope things have gotten better since the hurricanes, but when we had Frances and Jeanne (then Wilma) hit South Florida, Verizon was the only carrier that maintained coverage throughout the storms.
