Darph take note..http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/harviestou ... old/84035/
I finished my second bottle of Ola Dubh 12 year old this evening. It is simply a magical brew. Dark Scottish ale aged in oak whiskey barrels, it is incredibly complex.
Try it with a bit of blue cheese, or a cheddar blue blend like huntsmen.

I have only tried the 12 year old, but I think Christmas eve may be the opportunity to share a 30 year old with my brother and father in law. If ever there were a sipping beer, this is it.
The perfect beer to enjoy while watching Alistar Sims in "A Christmas Carol"!

I dunno, seems a little highbrow for the likes of Darph and myself. Unless you are buying, then I'll take a case and split it with Darph!

Real good ones ?? The 30 year old comes in a box, like a bottle of fine scotch. It should considering they are charging close to 40$ for a single bottle of it ! Granted that's in Canada, so in the US it would be less than half that price. The 12 year old, at 5$ a bottle, is all I care to invest in !
